Description
Find the perfect appetizer recipe for your next party or gathering! These easy Appetizer Recipes include simple delicious dips, nibbles and bites, vegan appetizers, seafood appetizers, fun finger foods, seasonal bruschetta, healthy lettuce wraps, party snacks, lavish platters and cheese boards, plus homemade crackers! A little something for everyone: Spiced Nuts.
Ingredients
Spiced Nuts:
- 2 cups mix of nuts and seeds: pumpkin seeds, walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, cashews, sunflower seeds or pistachios
- 1–2 tablespoons chia seeds (optional)
- 5 tablespoons real maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F (a toaster oven works here too)
- In a small bowl, toss the nuts/seeds with the maple syrup, enough to coat well, and mix in the salt and spices.
- Spread out on a parchment-lined sheet pan and bake 13-15 minutes, stirring halfway through. You want to get them toasted and generously golden- so the maple syrup hardens after cooling.
- Remove from heat, and immediately “fluff” with a fork. Let them cool completely.
- Once cooled they should be brittle enough to break apart. If they are soft, tacky or sticky- they needed longer in the oven- feel free to put them back in the oven and bake a little longer.

These make a great easy snack or lovely hostess gift!

These Appetizers look D’Lish! I can’t wait to try them!
These all look amazing! My favorite app is fresh spring rolls.
The beet bruschetta with the goat cheese sounds amazing. Especially since I was just eating some beets. I also really love the lentil dish. That is a classic and favorite!
Hello,
The Brie cake looks stunning and so festive! I’m going to serve that for
Christmas Eve! Thankyou for all your excellent recipes. I look forward to your monthly post so I can try something new!
Wow! These all look wonderful. The warm olives and deviled eggs look perfect for our next party. Thanks for all your recipes. You sure travel a lot! Happy holidays!
Your timing was perfect as I was just looking for something to take to a party tonight! Thanks for another year’s worth of inspiration. You are a super star in my book!
Stuffed mushrooms are my go-to appetizer, but if I have the time I make your spring rolls and peanut sauce. Eager to try the Palouse Caviar!
Can’t wait to try a couple of these recipes!! Mini tostadas tonight !
Lemony Artichoke White Bean Dip! I am vegan and enjoy the vegan recipes you share so! incredibly much. My salad game has gotten a major upgrade because of you! Merci!
I guess I’m a bit retro at heart, my favorite appetizer is Spinach Artichoke Dip served in a homemade bread bowl. But I may have to serve your recipe for Palouse Caviar alongside of it this year. That looks and sounds absolutely wonderful!
Everything is SO good sounding! I love baba ganoush, and I’ve been wanting to try your recipe for a while now. Might be perfect timing to try it!!
Yum! I’m going to try and oysters and the warm olives this week!
Chips and sour cream and hummus.
Love the fig bruschetta! Yummmm….great combination.
I am so ready for some new appetizers! Palouse caviar will be the first I try-it’s so beautiful, as well as nutritious! Every one of these recipes got my attention….healthy, clean, and really lovely presentation.
Thank you-I’ve so enjoyed everything you send our way-
Wow! These appetizers look delicious and so beautiful. It’s hard to choose, but my favorites are the Shrimp Ceviche and the Stuffed Dates. I’ll be making them both for Christmas Eve dinner.
Thank you for gathering so many wonderful apps in one place! My favorite is the muhamarra dip! I first had it when we lived in Instanbul and it was instant love. Your recipe takes me back to long walks along the Bosphorus!
These all look so delish and soooo gorgeous! I think I’ll eat these appetizers for January. Always grateful for your inspiration!!
Baba Ganoush!!
Well, serving all 25 would be a smashing party, but since I am plant based I would serve the Muhummara dip, it looks so festive and right up my alley. Seeded crackers would be my choice for dipping.
My fave appetizer is the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce! The colors are so vibrant and the flavors are fantastic. This is especially fun to involve guests with the making of the spring rolls. My personal favorites appetizer is a simple sushi roll with golden beets: simply boil and scrape rough skin off golden beets; julienne and drizzle with toasted sesame oil and my favorite, gomashio (sesame seeds and salt). Prepare as you would any sushi with good short sticky rice and quality nori. I like to serve it with tamari or coconut aminos. Enjoy, and Happy Holidays!
Thank-you for your ongoing recipes! I make many of them and feel so excited when I see a new email from you! My favourite appetizer is a simple bacon wrapped pickle spear with ranch dressing dip or a spicy dip. Doesn’t get easier than that! I will try a few of these. Thank-you and Happy Holidays. I look forward to Veganuary!
Can’t wait to try some of these! First on the list is the Artichoke Hummus as I have all the ingredients right now. As hummus & veggies are my favorite fast appetizer looking fwd to making this today.
Every one of these look delicious and I can’t wait to try them all! My favorite app to make is definitely mushroom bruschetta- always a crowd pleaser! 🙂
Allison! Congratulations, You ARE THE WINNER!!
YAY! I am doing a happy dance!! woo hoo!! 😀 Thank you!
I love appetizers and could easily eat a meal entirely of appetizers. But because there is often a meal involved I like to keep appetizers on the light side. I love crudite with a nice hummus. But looking over the list here I may have to try some of these, the Palouse Caviar looks especially enticing.
