Cool and refreshing, this Frozen Matcha Latte is just what the doctor ordered on hot summer days! Not only are they super delicious, but they are incredibly healthy, energizing, and invigorating! Vegan.
Hello, frosty glass of deliciousness! I wish I could reach right through the screen and give you this frozen matcha latte- I’d love for you to meet and fall in love with my latest crush!
This three-ingredient recipe is the perfect afternoon pick-me-up and I especially love them on hot days when I’m feeling a little wilted. Whether you are spending time outside in the hot sun, or getting sleepy at your desk, these guys are sure to revive you! With only 10 minutes of hands-on time, I think you’ll enjoy this!
Frozen Matcha Latte Ingredients
- Whole milk or Plant-based milk -(almond milk , macadamia nut, soy milk, I like vanilla-flavored almond milk)
- Matcha green tea powder
- Sweetener- use honey, agave, maple syrup, monk fruit, allulose or other sweetener – sweeten it to taste!
- Ice
- Optional- a splash of vanilla extract- yum!
How to make it
Place the milk, matcha, and sweetener in a high-powered blender and blend until mixed. Add the ice and blend, adding more ice to create your desired consistency. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
Frozen Matcha Latte Tips
- A high-powered blender or smoother make works best here!
- Feel free to sweeten to taste.
- If using unflavored milk, a tiny splash of vanilla extract is delicious!
- If no blender, just mix and pour over ice, for an iced matcha latte.
- If you are worried the about caffeine intake, remember you can always start off conservatively. I only use a teaspoon in the latte (which is equivalent to half a cup of coffee) but you could start with half a teaspoon. I find that the little bit of caffeine, helps me focus and concentrate and get through the afternoon slump.

Description
Cool and refreshing, Frozen Matcha Lattes are just what the doctor ordered on hot summer days! Made with Almond Milk, these vegan, blended match lattes are healthy, low carb and delicious!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup almond milk ( I use unsweetened, vanilla flavored)
- 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder ( or start with less if you like)
- 2–3 teaspoons honey, agave or other sweetener
- 2 cups ice ( 6-8 ice cubes)
Instructions
Place almond milk, honey and matcha powder in a blender and blend. Add ice and blend again, adding more ice to desired thickness. I like this thick enough to stay on a spoon. Enjoy!
Notes
If using plain almond milk, a tiny splash of vanilla is nice. 🙂

I ended up using regular milk (lactose free). I also doubled matcha. It was good, but I felt it was a little underwhelming. I am tempted to throw in a banana and dates and reduce the amount of agave, although it would be a different smoothie at this point 🙂 The other ingredients I’d love to add are cardamom and cinnamon.
I think those spices would be fun to experiment with!
I also like it with maple syrup and a splash of vanilla!😋
Sounds perfect!
Perfect!
Thanks Sarah!
Hi Sylvia
Just discovered your website and it looks great! Re: Frozen Blended Matcha Green Tea Slushie. Will this also work with coconut milk (not canned)?
It should! I don’t see why not?
How can this have that many calories!? I put it in a nutrition calculator and got 35.5 calories..
Sorry about that, you are right there was an error! Fixed it.
This is so refreshing and tasty! I make this regularly now and love it in the summer. Healthy too.
