Blended, Fresh Strawberry Margaritas using ripe, juicy, in-season strawberries! These “frozen” Strawberry Margaritas are light and refreshing and go down a little too easy! Naturally sweetened, nicely balanced with the best flavor!
I’m going a little old-school on you! Blended Strawberry Margaritas have been off my radar since I was in my young twenties, but I’m swinging back around because I just got a hankering for one the other day. Especially with all these gorgeous juicy sweet strawberries at the farmers market lately! They make the best margaritas!
If you are looking for a more “grown-up” margarita- make sure to try these smoky Mezcal Margaritas with jalapeno and cilantro, served on the rocks with lime slices. Not a classic margarita but a notch up in my book. 😉
But if you are in the mood for something light and refreshing, stay right here.
What’s the difference between a strawberry margarita and a daiquiri?
The primary difference is the alcohol. Margaritas are made with tequila and daiquiris are made with rum!
How to make the BEST Strawberry Margaritas!
Get the best, ripe strawberries you can. You’ll need 2-3 cups or 8-12 ounces.
Add tequila, orange liqueur (or triple sec) lime juice and either honey, maple or agave.
Blend until smooth.
At this point, you could put this in the fridge for later, or add the ice.
Blend until it’s like the most delicious-looking slushie ever.
Oh! And if you have kids or want a virgin version of this try this Strawberry Slushie!
Make a sugar rim if you like, rubbing the rim with the spent lime halves, and dipping in sugar.
A delicious, 5-minute cocktail, perfect for 2.
Oh! And if you serve them in a mason jar, they are packable.
Perfect for that sunset cocktail somewhere outdoors! 😉
Happy Cinco De Mayo!!!
xoxo

Description
An easy recipe for fresh Strawberry Margaritas using ripe, juicy, in-season strawberries! These blended Strawberry Margaritas are light and refreshing and go down a little too easy! Naturally sweetened, nicely balanced with the best flavor!
Ingredients
Instructions
- Blend strawberries, tequila, orange liqueur, lime and honey until smooth. (You could do this ahead and refrigerate until ready to serve.)
- Add ice and blend until smooth and slushy-like. Pour into 2-3 glasses.
- Drink immediately.
Notes
I love adding basil leaves to this, but was out and didn’t want to make a special trip to store. Cilantro or mint could be nice too. A squeeze of orange juice is also tasty. Play around and have fun with it.
Of course if you want it more boozy, or less boozy, adjust to taste. I’ve found that equal parts lime juice and sweetener are the perfect balance. Do as you like.

This recipe produced delightful and very tasty margaritas. Didn’t have fresh lime, I just used a margarita mixer I had on hand. Do not leave out the agave or other sweetener!
