Yogurt parfaits are a simple, beautiful way to enjoy creamy yogurt layered with fresh fruit and crunchy granola. They're customizable, nutrient-rich, and perfect for easy breakfasts, snacks, or make-ahead meals. Vegan and Gluten-free adaptable.

Why You’ll Love This
I could honestly live on yogurt parfaits. They're effortless, beautiful, and hit every craving - creamy, crunchy, and bursting with fresh berry goodness. They're also endlessly customizable: use our classic granola (or chocolate granola) for the perfect crumble, and layer with your favorite yogurt - Greek for decadence, vanilla for sweetness, or vegan yogurt to keep it plant-based - try our homemade yogurt!
We love using berries for their polyphenol-rich boost, but any fresh fruit will shine here. Layer the yogurt and fruit in single-serve jars, keep them chilled, and add granola just before serving. Perfect for meal prep, breakfast or brunch, or an effortless & healthy dessert.
Yogurt Parfait Ingredients

- Yogurt: Use your favorite yogurt – Greek yogurt, whole milk plain yogurt, low-fat yogurt, coconut yogurt ( we love Cocojune Brand) soy yogurt, or vanilla yogurt. You may even want to try our homemade yogurt!
- Granola: For homemade granola, make our classic granola or chocolate granola. Or use store-bought granola, overnight oats, chia seed pudding, or your favorite toasted nuts and seeds. Our maple pecans or maple-roasted pumpkin seeds make delicious toppings!
- Fresh fruit: Use raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, currants, mangos, peaches, or bananas. Get creative and mix and match! Frozen fruit works fine, too.
Optional Toppings
- Honey or maple syrup
- Cacao nibs or chocolate chips
- Toasted nuts, seeds, or Coconut flakes
- Sprinkle with cinnamon, cardamom, bee pollen, or nutmeg
Flavor Variations
- Strawberry jam, apricot jam, or rhubarb compote
- Lemon curd
- Vanilla + honey
- Smashed fruit like bananas or strawberries
- Lemon juice + honey
Add Protein!
Add a tablespoon of nut butter or tahini, a scoop of protein powder or collagen (mixed into the yogurt), or a few spoonfuls of hemp hearts.
You can also replace half of the yogurt with cottage cheese (blend for extra creamy texture).
If using vegan yogurt, soy-based yogurts are higher in protein.
How to Make Yogurt Parfait
1. Add yogurt. Spoon half of the yogurt into a glass jar.

2. Add fruit. Layer half of the fruit on top of the yogurt.
3. Add granola. Top with half of the granola.

4. Repeat. Add the remaining yogurt, then fruit, and then granola.
5. Garnish and serve. Add a drizzle of honey or any additional toppings. Serve immediately to keep the granola crunchy.
Chef’s Tips
- Use Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt has the best structure for a parfait.
- Make your own granola! It’s easier than you may think. And it means you can control the sodium, sugar, and oil content – much healthier than store-bought!
- Add granola when ready to serve. To keep the granola crisp and crunchy, wait to add it to the parfait until ready to eat.
- Make a yogurt parfait bar! For a fun brunch idea, set out the yogurt, granola, and fruit, along with a variety of toppings, and let guests create their own variations!
Make-Ahead & Storage
Layer the yogurt and fruit in a glass jar, then refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 2 days. Top with granola when ready to serve. Waiting to add the granola preserves its crunchy texture. If storing leftovers, try to keep the granola separate!

Yogurt parfaits can be a healthy breakfast or snack, especially when using homemade granola. Yogurt is full of probiotics, and fresh fruit offers vitamins and antioxidants. Be wary of store-bought granola, which can contain added or excess sugar, sodium, or oils.
When assembling a yogurt parfait, think of it in layers. Layer the yogurt, then fruit, then granola, and repeat.

One of my favorite go-to breakfasts to take to work. I haven’t tried making my own granola yet. Something to strive for in 2026.
