Cozy Soul-Warming Comfort Food Recipes

Here is a collection of Comfort Food recipes, hearty meals perfect for cozy fall and winter nights, and perfect for sharing around the table.

Comfort can often be found in the kitchen, not only in the eating but also in the act of cooking itself, which can ground us to the present moment if we allow it. Even a few minutes of this a day is like medicine to the soul.

Comfort food means many things to many people. Some consider it bad or unhealthy- but to me, it is not as black and white. It is often connected with our memories and our childhood. My comfort food is a bowl of my dad’s Middle Eastern Lentil Soup.  To you it may be your mom’s mac and cheese, and I believe that both are nourishing on a soul level and that there is place for all of our comfort foods, whatever they may be.
